Introducing the New $100 Bill

Ben Franklin’s $100 bill is getting a makeover this coming October with some brand new security features to help deter counterfeiters, including a 3D security ribbon that is woven into the paper with animated and color-shifting watermarks. For instance, if you were to examine an authentic, new $100 banknote, you’ll notice a color-changing bell hidden inside the inkwell (located to Franklin’s right side) that turns from copper to green as the bill shifts.
